Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie may skip their cousin Peter Phillips’ upcoming wedding in June due to fresh allegations surrounding their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Recently, Thames Valley Police expanded their probe into the former prince following claims of inappropriate behavior towards a woman at Royal Ascot in 2002.

With the renewed focus on Andrew’s investigation, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie’s attendance at the family wedding has been cast into doubt. The royal sisters were scheduled to join the Royal Family in Cirencester on June 6 to celebrate Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s nuptials.

Given the latest scandal involving their father, a royal expert suggests that Beatrice and Eugenie may opt out of the wedding festivities to avoid overshadowing the couple. It is uncertain if they will ultimately attend the private ceremony, as their presence was never confirmed.

Sources indicate that the princesses may also skip Royal Ascot this summer to maintain a low profile amid their parents’ ongoing controversies. While one insider from The Royalist believes they will miss Peter Phillips’ wedding, BBC’s former royal reporter Jennie Bond believes that the princesses share a positive relationship with their cousin and that the Royal Family intends to maintain strong ties with them.

Jennie emphasized that any potential interest in Beatrice and Eugenie’s presence at the wedding would not detract significantly from the focus on the bride and groom. She highlighted the importance of not holding the alleged actions of their parents against them.

The investigation into Andrew’s conduct at Royal Ascot in 2002 continues, with Thames Valley Police pursuing all relevant leads. Allegations of sexual misconduct will also be examined in connection with potential misconduct in public office.
