Resort employees are being praised for their actions in a video where they are seen clearing towels from unattended sunbeds that had been reserved by vacationers. The footage, filmed at Camping Le Marsouins in Argelès-sur-Mer, near Perpignan, France, has resonated with travelers tired of individuals reserving loungers for extended periods without actually using them.

The viral clip, garnering over three million views and 80,000 likes, depicts two staff members in distinct yellow and red uniforms gathering abandoned towels from empty sunbeds. The towels are then stacked on a single lounger, freeing up the remaining ones for guests actively utilizing the pool facilities.

The individual who recorded the video, Vir Ginie, elucidated the rationale behind the staff’s intervention, stating that the aim was to make unoccupied sun loungers available for other pool-goers. This proactive measure was taken due to the issue of guests claiming loungers early in the day and only returning much later, causing inconvenience and frustration among fellow holidaymakers during peak seasons.

The clip has reignited discussions on the contentious practice of reserving poolside loungers, with one commenter suggesting that all hotels should adopt a similar approach. Another commenter commended the staff members for their actions, emphasizing the need for such practices to be standard across all hotels.
