Former Miss Universe Jamaica finalist, LaToya Malcolm, has tragically passed away at the age of 35. The Miss Universe Jamaica organization confirmed her death in a heartfelt social media tribute. The cause of her passing has not been disclosed.

Expressing deep sorrow, the organization honored LaToya’s memory, stating that she will always be remembered. LaToya had participated in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica pageant, where she stood out as a remarkable contestant, despite facing personal challenges following the loss of her father. She later went on to win the Miss Jamaica Bikini International title, dedicating her victory to her late father in a touching message.

Beyond her pageantry achievements, LaToya was known for her work as an actress and dance instructor. She was also actively involved in the Transition Project, a program dedicated to helping disadvantaged teenagers transition into adulthood.

Gabrielle Henry, the current Miss Universe Jamaica titleholder, paid tribute to LaToya, describing her passing as a significant loss and emphasizing that her impact and voice will endure in memory.
