A young woman, identified as Sukanya Thawichokkamthon, aged 30, was found deceased while floating down the River Kwai in Thailand. The discovery was made by a local fisherman who spotted her body stuck on a raft. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.
Police officers who responded to the scene noted no apparent signs of physical harm on the victim, although a small packet containing white powder was allegedly found among her belongings. The body was located on July 22.
Reports indicate that Sukanya had taken a ride-sharing service to the Somdet Phra Sangharaja Yannasangwon Bridge. The driver informed officials that the model appeared to be searching for someone or something after being dropped off late at night.
After exiting the vehicle in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, Sukanya went missing until her body was eventually discovered. Following assistance from her sister, DNA tests confirmed the victim’s identity.
Family members of Sukanya have expressed disbelief at the notion that she would have taken her own life. Described as a dedicated mother to her son by those close to her, the model’s death has raised questions.
Authorities are currently awaiting the results of a comprehensive post-mortem examination, while reviewing CCTV footage from the area. Efforts are also underway to locate her missing bag and mobile phone.
Having amassed over 24,000 followers on social media, the model was well-regarded online for her content.
