Eyewitnesses in Brazil have recounted the aftermath of a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of six individuals, including musician Oliver Tree. The fatal incident occurred in Rio De Janeiro, where two helicopters collided mid-air, resulting in the demise of all onboard.
The Rio de Janeiro Military Fire Department reported that one of the helicopters crashed onto a car dealership’s parking lot, causing a fire that engulfed several electric vehicles but was promptly extinguished.
Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the collision. Fernandes de Freitas, a tire repair worker, described witnessing one of the helicopters ablaze post-collision and observed a passenger from the other helicopter parachuting before it crashed.
Argentine streaming channel Blender disclosed that Gaspar Prim Díaz, also known as Gaspi and a popular content creator with over 2.8 million followers on YouTube, was among the individuals involved in the tragic event. Blender paid tribute to Gaspi, acknowledging his artistry and impact.
The Brazilian Air Force, through the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA), confirmed the deployment of investigators to the crash site for the initial investigation involving the two aircraft, identified by registration numbers PP-MAC and PR-DJJ.
