Marina Selim, 30, and her husband Bishoy Salib, 33, defied the odds by welcoming non-identical triplets named Miracle, Levi, and Suriel on November 28 last year. Marina, who was previously diagnosed with early menopause and a significantly diminished ovarian reserve, was initially told she may never have children due to her fertility issues.
After facing months of unsuccessful attempts to conceive naturally, Marina sought medical advice when she noticed irregularities in her menstrual cycle. Test results revealed a low probability of natural conception without the aid of egg donation, due to her diminished ovarian reserve.
Despite the discouraging prognosis, the couple remained hopeful and continued their efforts to conceive. In a surprising turn of events in May 2025, after Marina’s periods had ceased completely, a pregnancy test came back positive, much to their disbelief.
The joyous revelation didn’t stop there, as a subsequent medical scan revealed not one, but three babies on the way. The triplets were born safely on November 28 at Royal Sussex Hospital, leaving both the parents and medical professionals astonished at the miraculous outcome.
Bishoy, a devout Coptic Orthodox Christian, emphasized their belief in miracles throughout the challenging journey, rejecting the notion of egg donation as a viable option. The couple’s unwavering faith and perseverance ultimately led to the extraordinary blessing of their triplets, defying all medical expectations.
