After being initially informed that her newborn had passed away, a mother received astonishing news just hours later that her baby was actually alive. Letícia Cristina da Cruz Santos gave birth to her son, Noah Gabriel da Cruz Santos, in Sao Paolo, Brazil, on June 15.
Noah, born prematurely by one month, was transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Santa Casa hospital. While awaiting a transfer for necessary surgery, he experienced a cardiac and respiratory event.
Despite extensive efforts to save Noah, including 45 minutes of CPR, he was declared deceased that same day. The hospital emphasized adherence to strict protocols for confirming death, citing the high standards of the Brazilian protocol.
Letícia, who witnessed the events, expressed gratitude on social media for the hospital’s care of Noah during his stay. She reflected on the miraculous turn of events, stating that they believe in miracles that defy explanation and must be experienced.
Tragically, Noah was initially pronounced dead, but later, a funeral worker discovered signs of life in him inside the body bag. The worker, Regina Célia Paschoal, with years of experience, described the moment when Noah began moving and making sounds.
Following this unexpected development, Noah was promptly readmitted to the neonatal unit for intensive care to support his recovery. Letícia shared her overwhelming emotions upon learning that her son was alive, noting it as a miracle and giving thanks.
In a twist of fate, Noah’s revival occurred on the exact day he was due to be born, a month earlier than expected. The family continues to be amazed by the unexpected turn of events and remains hopeful for Noah’s recovery.
