A fire broke out at a residence in London, leading to the deployment of eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters to extinguish the flames.
The incident took place at a mid-terraced house in Knollmead, Tolworth, where the roof of the building caught fire, as confirmed by the London Fire Brigade. Multiple fire crews from neighboring stations were dispatched to the location.
The London Fire Brigade responded to the initial report of the fire at 3:47 pm, receiving a total of five calls regarding the incident.
According to the London Fire Brigade, “Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were dispatched to the fire incident on Knollmead, Tolworth. The fire originated in a two-story mid-terraced house, with part of the roof ablaze during the peak of the incident. A 32-meter ladder from the Brigade was utilized in the response.”
The fire was reported to be under control by 5:11 pm, with fire teams from Surbiton, Sutton, New Malden, and nearby fire stations mobilized to the scene for support.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the Fire Investigation Team of the Brigade.
The fire occurred at a mid-terraced property on Knollmead, situated in Tolworth within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, known for housing Knollmead Primary School. Firefighters noted that the roof of the house was engulfed in flames.
The London Fire Brigade has yet to determine the cause of the fire.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found the roof of the building on fire, with the deployment of a 32-meter ladder forming part of their operational response.
The fire was traced back to a two-story mid-terraced house on Knollmead in Tolworth. Teams from Surbiton, Sutton, New Malden, and neighboring fire stations were called to assist at the site.
