A targeted attack occurred on a vehicle owned by the late Ricky Hatton outside his son Campbell’s residence in Hattersley, Hyde. The incident, which took place on Monday night, led to the car being set on fire and a front window being smashed.

Authorities launched an investigation following the attack, with police and fire crews responding to the scene to address the situation. The driveway of the property was left charred and covered in debris from the fire, prompting the collection of evidence by the police.

Campbell Hatton, the son of the late former boxing world champion Ricky Hatton, expressed his dismay on social media, stating that the burnt car held sentimental value as it belonged to his father who passed away last September.

Greater Manchester Police received reports of the fire around 11:45 pm on Monday and conducted inquiries throughout Tuesday. No arrests have been made yet in connection to the incident, which is believed to be a deliberate and targeted attack with no immediate threat to the public.

Authorities are appealing for information from the public to aid in their ongoing investigations. In a separate incident, emergency services responded to a gas leak report on Tuesday morning, with firefighters working alongside the police to ensure safety in the area.

Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact the police or the charity Crimestoppers anonymously.
