Three inmates are on trial at Leeds Crown Court for the murder of Kyle Bevan, a convicted child killer. Bevan, who had taken the life of his two-year-old stepdaughter, was found stabbed 25 times in his cell at HMP Wakefield last November.
The accused inmates, identified as Lee Newell, David Taylor, and Mark Fellows, allegedly carried out the attack with precision. Bevan, known as a vulnerable prisoner, was housed on the fourth floor, while the defendants were on the second floor.
