Temperatures are expected to reach 32C in the coming days as the Met Office has identified eight regions that will be hit by scorching weather conditions. Meteorologists have forecasted that the UK will surpass its heatwave threshold temperatures this weekend, with the heat persisting until Monday, June 22.

Starting from Friday, June 19, temperatures will climb in southern England, with highs of 30C anticipated. By Sunday, June 21, the mercury is projected to rise further to 32C across the south and southeast of England, as confirmed by the Met Office.

Weather expert Jo Farrow from Netweather.tv noted that a hot air mass will move over to southeastern Britain on Friday and expand over more southern regions by Sunday and Monday. This will push temperatures into the high 20s and low 30s for areas like East Anglia, London, the Home Counties, and other parts of southern England, potentially leading to a prolonged heatwave period.

Sunday is expected to be sunny and dry as high pressure builds over the UK, with temperatures in the south possibly reaching 27 to 33C later in the week and into Monday. The Met Office’s forecast indicates a steady temperature climb in southern England, likely hitting around 30C by Friday and becoming significantly warmer over the weekend.

According to the forecast, certain areas in the south and southeast of England could meet heatwave criteria by Saturday, with more widespread heatwave conditions expected on Sunday. Maximum temperatures are projected to reach 32C on Friday in East Anglia, 28C on Saturday, 32C on Sunday, and potentially 33C on Monday in the same regions as warm conditions prevail.
