Many families nationwide are feeling the strain on their finances.

While the conflict in Iran is not directly our concern, its repercussions are being felt domestically. Escalating prices are impacting everyday luxuries such as dining out, family vacations, and creating memorable experiences with children.

Following the recent Iran conflict, all decisions have been centered on national interests and supporting the workforce. Safeguarding households from cost increases is a top priority, aiming for families to have an enjoyable summer.

Introducing the Great British Summer Savings initiative, we are reducing VAT from June 25th to September 1st on children’s meals at restaurants and children’s tickets for various entertainment venues nationwide.

This program enables both adults and children to visit amusement parks, wildlife parks, museums, and other attractions at discounted rates, easing the financial burden on families during the summer months.

Furthermore, free bus travel for children under 16 in England throughout August aims to make outings more affordable for families.

Targeted reductions in tariffs on items like biscuits, chocolate, dried fruits, and nuts are also in place to alleviate concerns over grocery expenses. These efforts complement existing initiatives to lower energy bills, support motorists, and freeze certain charges.

Amidst the price hikes resulting from the Iran conflict, the government’s economic strategy is focused on stability, cost containment, and resilience-building. The objective remains to safeguard households and businesses while fortifying the nation.
