Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been urgently taken to the hospital and is reportedly in a “critical but stable” condition, according to his spokesperson.
The spokesperson shared the news, requesting prayers for Giuliani, who is currently hospitalized in critical condition but maintaining stability. Giuliani, known as “America’s Mayor,” is described as a resilient individual who has faced challenges with unwavering strength. The spokesperson, Ted Goodman, urged the public to join in prayer for Giuliani’s recovery.
The cause of Giuliani’s condition and the specific reason for his hospitalization are not yet clear. Giuliani, 81, served as the mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001.
Before his hospitalization, Giuliani hosted his online show, “America’s Mayor Live,” from Palm Beach, Florida. During the show, he appeared to be unwell, mentioning a hoarse voice and signs of illness.
Giuliani had a close relationship with former President Trump, serving as his personal legal advisor during the previous administration. Trump expressed his support for Giuliani on Truth Social, praising him as the best mayor in New York City’s history while reiterating unproven claims of election fraud.
Giuliani’s legal troubles escalated in 2024 when he was disbarred due to false statements made following the 2020 election. A Manhattan appeals court found that Giuliani repeatedly misled the public about the election results. Previously, in 2021, Giuliani had his law license suspended for similar reasons.
In a separate incident, Giuliani was ordered to pay $148 million to two Georgia election workers he falsely accused of fraud in 2023. This led to his bankruptcy filing as he faced considerable financial challenges, including outstanding legal fees and taxes.
