Police in Hackney have initiated a homicide inquiry following the fatal stabbing of a man this afternoon. The incident occurred around 1:42 pm on Downs Park Road near Mossbourne Community Academy and Hackney Downs Park.
Authorities have clarified that the stabbing does not involve any students from the academy and is being treated as an isolated event. The victim, a man in his late 20s, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His family has been notified and is receiving support from specialized officers.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing, according to the Metropolitan Police.
