England is set to have a significant number of supporters in the United States as they face Panama in a crucial match. Over 10,000 fans are expected to gather in New York, with a substantial contingent traveling from the UK for this pivotal group stage encounter. The MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey, with a capacity of 78,576, will host the match, potentially accommodating more than 30,000 England supporters.

The presence of expatriates and fans from the US who follow Harry Kane and the team could further boost attendance. England completed their final training session in Kansas City before heading to New York, where Kane hinted at possible lineup changes to keep the team fresh for the upcoming rounds.

A victory in this match would secure England’s spot in the knockout phase, leading to a potential matchup in Atlanta for the round of 32. The prospective opponents include Ecuador, Senegal, Iraq, Algeria, Austria, Portugal, and DR Congo. Winning the group would also set up a clash with Mexico at the iconic Azteca Stadium.

Before looking ahead to future matchups, England must focus on overcoming Panama, who are at the bottom of the group and facing elimination. Ticket prices for transportation to the stadium have been reduced to accommodate more fans, with various transportation options quickly selling out.

In addition to Three Lions supporters, a significant number of Premier League fans from New York State and New Jersey are expected to rally behind England. Notable personalities like Britain’s Got Talent finalist Sonny Green have been spotted in New York, adding to the excitement surrounding the team’s presence in the city.

Thomas Concannon, the lead for the Football Supporters’ Association fans embassy in the US, highlighted the enthusiasm among England fans traveling for this match. Many fans are planning to extend their stay in New York, with high hopes of witnessing England progress further in the tournament.

The draw against Ghana created uncertainty for fans in terms of future travel plans, with potential match locations varying based on results. Despite the logistical challenges, the strong support and dedication of England fans are evident as they eagerly anticipate the outcome of the upcoming matches.
