A child’s car seat has been flagged with a “don’t buy” warning by consumer group Which? after failing tests. The Kinderkraft Mink Pro 2 and Mink FX 2 Isofix Base received a 0% score due to safety concerns. During crash testing, the seat shell detached from the Isofix base, posing a significant risk in a crash scenario. Despite the seat scoring 50% when installed with a vehicle seatbelt, Which? advised owners to contact the retailer for options like replacement or refund.

This car seat was listed in Which?’s “don’t buy” list for 2026, along with other products considered unsafe or ineffective. For instance, the Red Kite Push Me Explor Stroller, priced at £95, had a wheel detachment issue during testing, earning it a 43% score. In contrast, the Joie MyDrift, costing £250, scored 74% and was recommended for safety and usability.

Additionally, health gadgets like the Braun ExactFit 5 Connect Blood Pressure Monitor, priced at £80, received negative feedback for inaccurate readings. Which? suggested the cheaper Boots Multi-User Blood Pressure Monitor at £35 for its accuracy. In another test, the Silentnight Airmax 800 Air Purifier (£69) scored poorly at 37% for its limited particle removal capabilities, while the Blueair Mini Max at £59 achieved a 65% score for efficient removal of airborne particles.

Which? Magazine Editor, Harry Rose, emphasized the importance of independent testing to ensure product quality and safety. Manufacturers like Kinderkraft, Braun, Red Kite, and Silentnight defended their products’ compliance with standards but offered exchanges or refunds to address consumer concerns.
