The long-awaited May bank holiday weekend has finally arrived, granting many individuals an extra day to relax and spend time with loved ones. However, this extended break also means that certain stores will be closed.

Aldi has confirmed that its branches will be open on Bank Holiday Monday. Rachel Geary, Communications Director at Aldi UK, highlighted the importance of bank holiday weekends for gatherings with family and friends, emphasizing the availability of quality products at great value for shoppers.

Most Aldi stores are expected to operate from 8 am to 8 pm on Bank Holiday Monday, with potential variations in opening hours across certain locations. Customers are encouraged to verify the specific details of their nearby store on Aldi’s website.

Similarly, Asda announced that the majority of its larger stores will maintain standard operating hours throughout the bank holiday weekend. However, opening times may differ at some branches, prompting customers to confirm the information on Asda’s store finder tool.

Lidl revealed that most stores outside the M25 and in Wales will be open from 8 am to 8 pm on Bank Holiday Monday, while Scottish stores and those within the M25 will operate as usual. Customers should check for any changes in opening times at their local Lidl store.

M&S assured customers that all its stores will be open over the May Bank Holiday weekend, though operating hours may vary by location. Customers are advised to check the specific opening times of their local M&S store on the company’s website.

Morrisons announced that stores in England and Wales will open from 7 am to 8 pm on Bank Holiday Monday, with Scottish stores maintaining regular hours. Customers are reminded to verify the opening hours of their local Morrisons store.

Tesco shared that most large stores in England and Wales will be open from 8 am to 6 pm on Bank Holiday Monday, with Express stores operating as usual. In Scotland, large stores will open from 7 am to 10 pm, and in Northern Ireland, from 8 am to 6 pm. Customers are advised to confirm the details of their local Tesco store.

Waitrose informed customers that some stores may have reduced opening hours on Bank Holiday Monday, and they are encouraged to check the specific details of their local store on the Waitrose website.
