An autopsy has uncovered the immense pain and suffering experienced by the victims of Bryan Kohberger during a violent attack at a student residence.

The University of Idaho students, Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle, met their tragic end due to multiple sharp-force injuries while most of them were asleep around 4 am on November 13, 2022, as per recently unsealed autopsy reports from the Ada County court.

Following his admission of guilt, criminology student Kohberger was handed four consecutive life sentences for the murders. Investigators revealed that Kohberger had been to the students’ residence on several occasions before the fatal incident.

Dr. Veena Singh, the chief medical examiner in Spokane, conducted the autopsies and disclosed that all victims sustained injuries consistent with a “Ka-Bar Full Size US Marine Corps Fighting Knife,” believed to be the murder weapon.

Moreover, it was noted that Kaylee had additional injuries on her face from blunt force, and an unknown object was used to cover her mouth, as reported by the New York Post.

Xana Kernodle, who was not in bed during the attack, suffered injuries to her arms and hands. A leather sheath matching the blade was discovered in the bed shared by Kaylee and Madison.

Prosecutors found Kohberger’s DNA on the sheath, and through genetic analysis, they were able to link him to the crime scene. Kohberger, who was attending classes near the students’ residence, was apprehended at his parents’ home in Pennsylvania.

Kohberger, pursuing a PhD in criminology at Washington State University, opted for a guilty plea to avoid a death sentence by firing squad. Idaho State Police recently released thousands of previously unseen crime scene photos depicting the struggle and bloodshed during the murders before promptly removing them from public view.

These images displayed bloodstains on bedding, walls, furniture, and personal items. Following the disclosure of the photos, Kristi, the mother of victim Kaylee, expressed her emotions on Facebook, wishing for a brief encounter between Kohberger and Kaylee’s father, Steve.
