Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, expanding its service to British customers who own multiple Apple devices. The subscription, which costs £16.99 per month, covers up to three eligible devices such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. In case of accidental damage, loss, or theft, Apple will repair the device or provide up to three replacements per year, depending on the claim type.
AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ by allowing customers to protect multiple products under a single plan. This consolidation can lead to notable savings, with potential monthly savings of up to £11.48 for customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch compared to individual AppleCare+ plans for each device.
One significant advantage of AppleCare One is the flexibility it offers in adding eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended coverage period surpasses the typical 60-day window for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device.
The plan also simplifies device upgrades, automatically adjusting coverage when a covered device is traded in for a new one from Apple. Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, stated that AppleCare One provides customers in the UK with a straightforward and flexible way to enjoy the trusted protection of AppleCare+, ensuring peace of mind with one plan, one price, and comprehensive coverage for all eligible products.
