The body of a young woman was discovered near a grammar school in Plymouth. Emergency services responded to Paradise Road, near Devonport High School for Boys, on Saturday afternoon after the finding. Investigations led to partial closure of Paradise Road.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that the deceased woman was in her thirties and her family has been notified. Images shared by PlymouthLive depicted police vehicles and ambulances on the scene with road closures for detective work.
A report will be compiled for the coroner to determine if an inquest is necessary to clarify the circumstances of the death. A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson stated that the woman’s body was found around 12:40 pm on Saturday, August 1st, near Paradise Road, Devonport, Plymouth, leading to the establishment of a cordon.
The police spokesperson also mentioned that the death is not considered suspicious, and preparations are underway for HM Coroner’s involvement in the case.
