Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly took their children on a secret trip to Scotland during their recent visit to the UK. Instead of going to the royal estate of Balmoral, the Sussexes are said to have visited Tanera Mor, a remote island owned by billionaire Ian Wace, co-founder of hedge fund firm Marshall Wace.

Wace purchased the nearly deserted 800-acre island in 2017 for £1.7 million and has invested around £100 million to refurbish it. The island now hosts approximately 500 guests annually, including individuals from the Police and Armed Forces, offering a serene and rejuvenating environment.

It is believed that Wace is a friend of Harry’s, and they have been seen together at a Cirque du Soleil performance in 2019. Previous reports suggest that Harry has visited the island before, engaging in activities like building restoration, mackerel fishing, and working in the island’s kitchens and gardens.

Representatives for both the Sussexes and Wace declined to comment on the alleged visit. News of this getaway comes shortly after Meghan shared glimpses of their family trip to the UK on Instagram, featuring photos from the Scottish Highlands and a visit to Althorp, the Spencer family home.

The Instagram posts also revealed moments of the Sussexes enjoying time at the beach, playing in a swimming pool in Portugal, and exploring a fish restaurant. The pictures intentionally obscured the faces of their children, Archie and Lilibet, to safeguard their privacy.

Additionally, Harry and Meghan visited their grandfather at his country retreat for the first time in four years, marking a long-awaited family reunion. The children had last seen their grandfather during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

The string of photos did not include any images from the family’s reunion with the King and Queen at Highgrove two weeks ago. Meghan and Harry have a holiday home on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, close to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s residence.
