Disgraced Sarah Ferguson faced the closure of her charity following revelations about her connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The charity, known as Sarah’s Trust, had facilitated philanthropic contributions to various causes but was officially shut down last month. Originally established in 2018, the Charity Commission now shows it as “removed,” indicating it is no longer active. Similarly, listed as a “charitable incorporated organisation” at Companies House, its status has been updated to “converted/closed.”

Correspondence disclosed in the Epstein Files included emails exchanged between Ferguson and Epstein, shedding light on their association. Despite the emergence of these communications, Ferguson has vehemently denied any unlawful behavior.

The charity had announced its impending closure earlier this year, shortly after the release of extensive documents within the Epstein Files. A spokesperson for the charity revealed that discussions regarding the closure had been ongoing for several months.

One particular email exchange between Ferguson and Epstein highlighted her admiration for him, referring to him as the “brother I have always wished for.” Additionally, another email from 2010 showcased Ferguson’s effusive praise for Epstein’s generosity and even included a proposition for marriage.

Publicly available documents also indicated that Ferguson had invited Epstein to her 50th birthday celebration at St James’s Palace in 2010, following his release from prison the year before. Subsequently, several charities, including the Teenage Cancer Trust, severed ties with Ferguson, terminating her patronage after a long-standing association.

Furthermore, Ferguson’s former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, faced repercussions for his relationship with Epstein, leading to the loss of his royal titles due to “serious lapses of judgment.” Similarly, Ferguson relinquished her courtesy royal divorcee title and reverted to her maiden name.

Sarah Ferguson’s representatives have been approached by The Mirror for comment.
