“Bolton Police Launch Murder Probe After Man Found Dead”

Police in Bolton have initiated a homicide investigation following the discovery of a deceased man at a residence. Responding to a call on June 30, law enforcement arrived at a property on Gray Street, where they encountered a 50-year-old man who had sustained severe injuries to his head and chest. Regrettably, the man was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities disclosed that subsequent to receiving “new information,” a murder inquiry was commenced. A 15-year-old boy has been apprehended under the Mental Health Act and is scheduled for interrogation.

Greater Manchester Police reassured the public that they perceive the incident as isolated, emphasizing there is no broader threat to the local community. Detective Chief Inspector Louise Edwards of GMP’s Major Incident Team expressed condolences to the man’s family while underscoring ongoing efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding his demise.
