A group of dogs bravely pursued a man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault two women in public. The incident was captured on video, showing the man fleeing with eight dogs chasing after him.
The man’s alleged assault on the women occurred during the day in Melbourne, Australia, while they were walking their dogs. He reportedly emerged from bushes and tried to abduct one of the women before turning his attention to her friend. It was at this moment that the dogs intervened.
Video footage shows the man running along Gardiners Creek in Kooyong, with several dogs in pursuit. The man was eventually driven to escape towards a tunnel under the Monash Freeway by the dogs owned by the targeted women.
Authorities from Victoria Police are investigating the incident, which took place around 11:30 am on Tuesday. They confirmed that the victims’ dogs were the ones chasing the man. One of the dogs, a blue heeler, managed to catch up to the man, tearing a piece of fabric from his leg before he fled towards the freeway underpass.
Police are now searching for a man described as wearing a black tracksuit, white socks, slides, a grey hooded top, and carrying a large bright blue backpack, matching the individual in the video. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
