Prince Harry opened up about his late mother, Princess Diana, and his children, Archie and Lilibet, during his final engagement in the UK before returning to California. The Duke of Sussex attended Scotty’s Little Soldiers summer festival at Maxstoke Castle, Warwickshire, shortly after a private family reunion with the King and Queen at Highgrove.
Having served in Afghanistan, Harry has been involved with Scotty’s Little Soldiers since 2017 and became a global ambassador in 2023. During a Q&A session at the event, a teenager asked him about commemorating his mother’s death and birthday. Harry shared that they celebrate with a lemon drizzle cake, emphasizing the importance of traditions.
When asked what makes him laugh on difficult days, Harry mentioned his dog, children, and watching something funny on TV. He highlighted the significance of laughter as a form of healing.
During the visit, Harry participated in “goat yoga” and was playfully hit with water bombs. He engaged in yoga poses with goats and shared lighthearted moments with the animals. He also enjoyed a race with a young child on an inflatable obstacle course.
Wrapping up his UK visit, Prince Harry, along with Meghan and their children, had a private reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove. This marked the first time the Sussex family was in the UK together since 2022 and the King’s first reunion with his youngest grandchildren since June 2022.
The meeting at the King’s residence was described as a private family gathering, and no official images were released. Buckingham Palace confirmed the reunion but kept the details private. Harry’s visit also included marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
