US forces have conducted strikes on about 90 targets in Iran, while President Donald Trump warned that the situation could escalate further. In response, Iran retaliated by targeting Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. The strikes were aimed at weakening Iran’s ability to disrupt navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Tensions escalated following Iran’s attack on three tankers in the region, reigniting hostilities. The US Central Command affirmed its readiness to carry out operations as directed by the Commander in Chief.

Reports confirmed the destruction of over 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard small boats in various Iranian locations. Additionally, infrastructure like a railway bridge in Golestan province was hit. The US allies in the region, including Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar, raised alarms in response to Iranian attacks.

President Trump shared imagery on social media depicting alleged destruction in Iran, warning of harsher consequences if attacks continue. The ongoing conflict threatens maritime traffic in the Gulf and poses challenges to reaching a lasting resolution initiated on February 28.

When asked about the ceasefire status, President Trump expressed doubt and criticized the Iranian leadership. He mentioned a willingness to engage in negotiations but questioned Iran’s commitment to any potential agreement.

Iranian officials dismissed Trump’s remarks as a sign of weakness and failure, emphasizing their determination to resist coercion. The control of the vital Strait of Hormuz has been a key point of contention, affecting global energy supplies and pricing.

While a temporary agreement ensures free passage through the strait for a limited period, a final deal on Iran’s nuclear program is pending. The future administration of the waterway will be determined by Iran, Oman, and other regional states.

Iran continues to assert authority over the Strait of Hormuz, imposing restrictions on vessel movements and suggesting potential tolls in the future. The situation remains fluid, with uncertainties surrounding the path to a lasting resolution.
