The student, a 22-year-old woman named Rosario, managed to safely land the plane despite being in a state of shock, as confirmed by the director of Flying Parrot Córdoba flying school.
Although physically unharmed, Rosario was hospitalized for severe psychological trauma following the terrifying ordeal. It was revealed that Bertazzo had flown with another student earlier that day without any issues. Rosario, who already held a private pilot license, was gaining additional flight hours at the time of the tragic incident.
According to the flight school director, the act of opening an aircraft door in midair is as challenging as trying to open a car door at high speed. Bertazzo, a seasoned pilot who had also worked in Chile, had undergone psychiatric treatment before the incident, a fact unknown to the flight school.
