Telstra is actively investigating the problem, stating that some mobile calls and data connections are affected. The company advised users to retry connection attempts, promising updates once the issue is resolved.
The cause of the outage remains unknown, and there is no estimated time for full network restoration. In Victoria, V/Line has halted regional train services due to a radio network fault affecting all lines, urging commuters to postpone travel if possible.
The outage has disrupted businesses and individuals nationwide, with reports of service interruptions for internet, EFTPOS, and mobile data access. Various mobile providers utilizing Telstra’s infrastructure, including Boost Mobile, Belong, Aldi Mobile, Everyday Mobile, and Tangerine, have also reported disruptions.
