Potential new witnesses in the murder case of a British woman facing a possible death sentence in Dubai might hold crucial evidence on their mobile devices. Brooke George, 23, remains detained in Dubai following accusations related to the death of William Treeby, 26, in an incident at an apartment in the Middle East. George, a popular TikToker from Gravesend in Kent, claims self-defense in response to an alleged attack but risks severe consequences if found guilty.

Detained in Dubai, an organization aiding foreigners in the city, has provided pertinent information to authorities in the UK and the UAE. Reports suggest that five individuals, including George, Treeby, two male acquaintances of Treeby, and a maid, were present at the apartment on the night of the incident. One of the men present is reportedly wanted by Kent Police.

Advocates believe that data stored on the men’s mobile phones could help establish a timeline of events and identify additional witnesses. The group emphasized the importance of interviewing individuals in Britain who received calls from the apartment following the incident to aid the investigation, as reported by The Sun.

Radha Stirling from Detained in Dubai stated that the organization has shared intelligence with relevant UK authorities, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, UAE authorities, and the UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom. The CEO stressed the necessity of a comprehensive and impartial investigation considering the seriousness of George’s situation.

It is crucial to secure any potential mobile phone evidence promptly to prevent its loss or deletion, as highlighted by Stirling. She emphasized that no compromises should be made when a person’s life is at stake.

Recent information revealed Treeby’s prior conviction for unlawful wounding and common assault at Maidstone Crown Court in December 2023, where he received a suspended prison sentence.

A spokesperson from the Foreign Office confirmed ongoing support for the detained British woman in the UAE and her family, maintaining communication with local authorities. The influencer’s mother expressed concerns about her daughter’s well-being before the tragic incident, noting significant changes in her behavior and appearance.
