A family in mourning was shocked to find human remains inside the urn they purchased on Amazon to hold their grandmother’s ashes, marking a disturbing second encounter with human remains.

Dorthy Kupsis, the family matriarch, passed away at 98, leading her grieving family to seek a suitable urn to preserve her ashes. They thought they had found the perfect heart-shaped urn to honor their beloved grandmother on Amazon.

Upon receiving the urn, the family noticed it seemed pristine and unsuspecting. However, when they opened it, they discovered it still contained human remains, leaving them unsettled and uncomfortable.

Despite the urn’s appearance of being new, the presence of the unknown ashes tarnished it for the family, who felt it was not a proper final resting place for their grandmother. After contacting Amazon, they were offered a refund, but the third-party seller did not respond to their inquiry.

This unsettling incident was not the first time for Ashleigh Wegner, who had previously encountered abandoned human remains in an alley near her residence. In that instance, they handed over the remains to the authorities, who located the family but found they were not interested. Ashleigh and her husband then scattered those ashes in the Arizona mountains.

The Mirror reached out to Amazon for a statement regarding the matter.
