The Duchess of Cambridge will make her comeback at Royal Ascot today after a three-year absence from the renowned racing event. She will ride in the carriage procession with Prince William, marking her first attendance since 2023, skipping last year due to cancer treatment. Despite her name appearing in the program in 2024, her absence caused some confusion, but Kensington Palace clarified she had not planned to attend.

Later in the day, Kate will be seated in the second carriage with William, and the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon. The first carriage will carry Lady Sarah Chatto, daughter of Princess Margaret, and her husband, along with other distinguished guests like Rory Stewart.

Prince Charles and Camilla have high hopes for their horse, Point of Law, competing in the Queen’s Vase. They aim for a better outcome after their previous horse, Reaching High, faced defeat on the opening day.

Recently, William and Kate were seen at the Trooping the Colour ceremony with their children and participated in Garter Day celebrations at Windsor Castle. Prince George, their eldest son, joined the King’s official birthday celebration and will attend Eton College in the fall.

At the start of Royal Ascot, King Charles and Queen Camilla led the royal entourage in carriages, with the Duke and Duchess of Wellington as their companions. Princess Anne and her son, Peter Phillips, with his wife Harriet, followed in another carriage. This event marked the couple’s first official appearance post their Cotswolds wedding, attended by senior members of the Royal Family.

The royal box witnessed Charles and Camilla cheering on the horses, joined by other family members including Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes. Despite a disappointing result for their horse, the King and Queen have four more entries in the event.
