A devoted fan of Love Island got into trouble with law enforcement after she was stopped by police for driving recklessly. The incident occurred on a state highway in Pinal County, Arizona, where the woman was caught speeding at 108 mph in a 65 mph zone. It was revealed that she was rushing home to watch the latest episode of the popular reality TV show.
The Arizona Department of Safety Highway Patrol shared the incident on social media as part of their “Speeding Saturday” roundup. The fan was charged with criminal speeding and reckless driving, leading to her vehicle being impounded for 20 days. Despite her efforts to make it home in time for the show, she ended up missing it due to her encounter with law enforcement.
In a separate incident on the same Saturday, another driver was also apprehended for speeding. This driver, on his way to church, was caught driving at 93 mph in a 50 mph zone on the Maricopa Casa Grande Highway. He claimed he was unaware of the speeding violation and was rushing to attend a sermon.
Similar to the Love Island fan, the church-bound driver was charged with criminal speeding and reckless driving. His vehicle was also impounded, with a passenger seated in the front. These incidents serve as reminders of the consequences of reckless driving and the importance of obeying speed limits to ensure road safety.
