On the tenth anniversary of the tragic murder of MP Jo Cox, the UK faces increasing division and threats against elected officials. Recent incidents in Belfast, Glasgow, and Southampton have highlighted a concerning rise in hate-driven attacks reminiscent of Jo Cox’s death.

Today, The Mirror introduces a new initiative called ‘Britain Talks’, a pioneering conversation project set to launch in September. Building on the ongoing National Conversation, this project aims to foster dialogue and understanding across the nation.

In a special feature, Brendan Cox, Jo’s widowed husband, and Katie Amess, daughter of the late MP David Amess, engage in a conversation to kick off this important initiative.

We invite Mirror readers and individuals willing to bridge divides to join ‘Britain Talks’ by sharing their perspectives on global issues through a series of questions. By leveraging cutting-edge technology from our partners at Die Zeit in Germany, participants will be connected with others holding differing views.

To sign up for ‘Britain Talks’, simply provide an email address for project updates. Rest assured, your information will only be used to keep you informed about the initiative’s progress and new partnerships in civil society.

This opportunity allows you to be a founding member of a community dedicated to reclaiming our country from extremists and fostering unity over division.

Join us in this crucial conversation. Let’s talk and build a better future together.
