A fatal stabbing incident involving a 15-year-old boy has prompted a homicide investigation in Dollis Hill, north-west London. The victim, identified as Jamal Ringrose, was rushed to the hospital after sustaining stab wounds during the altercation on Saturday night. Despite receiving treatment, Jamal succumbed to his injuries today.
Detectives have initiated a murder inquiry and have provided support to Jamal’s family with the assistance of specialized officers. Following the incident, a 15-year-old male, whose identity is protected due to his age, was apprehended and charged with affray and possessing an offensive weapon in a public setting. He appeared in court on Thursday.
Moreover, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. The 15-year-old suspect faces additional charges of possessing an offensive weapon and affray, and is currently in police custody. The 18-year-old has been released on bail.
Detective Inspector Simon Ager, leading the investigation, expressed condolences to the deceased boy’s family and urged anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward. He emphasized the importance of dashcam or mobile phone recordings from the area during the time of the event.
