The Queen received heartfelt gratitude for creating lasting memories for terminally ill children during a tea party and treasure hunt held at Clarence House. Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, hosted the event, serving tea, cake, and overseeing a fun treasure hunt for six young guests supported by the charity Dreams and Wishes.

Initially planned for the garden, the event moved indoors due to heavy rain. Greeted by Tony Curtis, chairman of the charity, the children enjoyed music and treats in the Morning Room. Camilla engaged with each child and parent, complimenting their outfits and encouraging them to enjoy the spread of sandwiches, cakes, and fruits.

During the interaction, Camilla met Rupert, a young boy with extraordinary courage and resilience despite health challenges. Rupert, recognized for his bravery with a prestigious award, impressed the Queen. The event culminated in a treasure hunt led by Major Treasure, where the children successfully located hidden treasures, receiving party bags as rewards.

Earlier that day, Camilla participated in community activities, cutting a cake with Paddington Bear to mark the National Year of Reading. She also visited a London hospital, opening a rooftop garden for critically ill patients. The Queen’s engagements showcased her commitment to charitable causes and her interaction with young individuals facing adversities.
