Two friends embarked on a spontaneous trip to Italy, managing to keep the total cost under £120, which included airport parking and bus fares. Megan Stiles and her best friend Romany Coppola took off from Stansted Airport on an early morning flight to Verona for just £38 round trip.

Upon arrival in Verona, the duo decided to explore further by taking a £10 bus to Lake Garda, where they spent the morning sightseeing, shopping, and enjoying the sunny lakeside ambiance. A stop for lunch saw Megan opting for an £8 margarita pizza while Romany chose a £13 penne arrabbiata, with an additional £20 spent on drinks.

After their Lake Garda adventure, they hopped on a £6 bus to Verona, where they spent the afternoon wandering through the historic city before heading back to the airport later in the evening. Megan, hailing from Colchester, Essex, expressed her joy at the affordable nature of the trip, sharing that the total expenses, including souvenirs, amounted to around £120.

The impromptu decision to visit Lake Garda added an unexpected yet delightful twist to their day trip, making it a memorable experience for both friends. Despite the exhaustion of walking around 25,000 steps in a single day, Megan emphasized that the trip was absolutely worth it.

Megan’s enthusiasm for the whirlwind journey was evident as she shared her plans to revisit Italy, highlighting the unique and fulfilling experience of exploring two cities in one day. The reactions from friends and family ranged from disbelief to admiration, with Megan reflecting on the exhaustion but ultimate satisfaction of the whirlwind adventure.
