A couple from the UK, Lindsay and Craig Foreman, have been isolated from the world while imprisoned in Iran. The couple, aged 53, received a 10-year sentence in Tehran’s Evin Prison after a trial they say was unfair. The UK government has condemned their imprisonment, calling them “innocent tourists.”

Initially arrested in January 2025 during their global motorcycle journey, Lindsay and Craig were out of contact with their family for an extended period. Despite being allowed phone calls later on, these communications have now been revoked, causing distress to their family members.

Following an interview with the BBC in May, the couple’s phone privileges were taken away again. Their family, including Lindsay’s sons Joe Bennett and Toby Rutland, and Craig’s children Kieran and Chelsea Foreman, have been actively campaigning for their release amidst the uncertainty of their well-being.

The Foreman family expressed deep concerns over the lack of communication and the harsh conditions the couple faced in prison. They revealed the couple’s struggles, including health issues and the threat of further restrictions such as solitary confinement.

Despite the challenges, Lindsay and Craig remain hopeful for their release, supported by efforts from the UK government and diplomatic channels. The family remains vigilant, hoping for a positive resolution to bring the couple back home.
