Britain’s FBI has identified a list of 12 most wanted criminals believed to be hiding in Spain.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) has disclosed images of these fugitives wanted for various crimes, including murder, drug offenses, and money laundering across popular Spanish tourist destinations like Tenerife, Marbella, Alicante, Malaga, and the Costa Blanca under Operation Captura.

Among the suspects are a double murderer, a notorious cocaine dealer marked with scars, and a rapist reportedly in Benidorm, Spain.

It is suspected that some of these criminals have undergone surgical procedures to alter their appearance as they try to blend in with British vacationers in Spain. Over the past year, Spain has extradited 56 criminals back to the UK.

Rob Jones, the NCA’s director general of operations, emphasized that Spain is not a safe refuge for fugitives. He warned that fugitives cannot evade justice by hiding in Spain and vowed to pursue and extradite them to face the consequences of their actions.

One of the notorious fugitives is Kevin Thomas Parle, aged 45, wanted by Merseyside Police in connection with the murders of Liam Kelly and Lucy Hargreaves in 2004 and 2005 respectively. Parle, a towering figure at 6ft 4in, has been on the run for more than two decades and is considered one of the UK’s most dangerous criminals.

The NCA’s efforts to apprehend these criminals have intensified, with various suspects wanted for a range of offenses including drug trafficking, fraud, and money laundering.

The release of the updated list of wanted criminals coincides with the 20th anniversary of Operation Captura, a collaborative initiative involving multiple agencies that has successfully captured 98 fugitives out of the 111 publicized.

To support the apprehension efforts, the NCA has urged the public to provide any relevant information anonymously through Crimestoppers, emphasizing the importance of preventing further criminal activities and delivering overdue justice.
