“Fatal Moscow Fire Claims Three Lives, Dozens Trapped”

A fire outbreak in Moscow has resulted in the tragic deaths of three individuals, with around 200 more individuals potentially still trapped. The fire began at a construction site in the northern part of the city, affecting the second and third floors and showing signs of spreading.

Reports from the fire department indicate that three people lost their lives, seven sustained injuries, 31 have been rescued, and three individuals required medical attention before the arrival of firefighters. The emergency response level has been escalated to level four, with reports indicating that people are stranded on the third floor of the building.

An investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated by the Savelovskaya Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office. Additionally, a criminal case has been opened by investigators regarding alleged safety regulation violations during the construction process.

The Investigative Committee’s Moscow Main Investigative Directorate has confirmed the opening of a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation due to negligence leading to the death of two or more individuals as a result of safety regulation breaches during construction work.

Rescue teams are currently on-site working diligently to locate any remaining individuals within the building.
