A man was taken into custody on suspicion of murder following the death of a respected father and grandfather in Wales. Nicholas ‘Brian’ Parfitt, a well-regarded member of the Trevethin community, passed away on Bythway Road in Trevethin, Torfaen, just before 5pm on Thursday. Gwent Police responded to reports of a man with severe injuries at the scene, where the 74-year-old Mr. Parfitt was sadly pronounced dead. A 37-year-old man from Cwmbran has been apprehended in connection with the incident.
