Meghan Markle has unveiled two new items in her As Ever Mother’s Day collection, drawing inspiration from her young children. The Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand has introduced two candles paying tribute to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, incorporating aspects of their royal status.

These limited edition products, available for purchase starting Wednesday, comprise Signature Candle No. 506, commemorating Prince Archie of Sussex’s birth on May 6, and Signature Candle No. 604, a nod to Princess Lilibet’s birthday on June 4. This launch marks As Ever’s expansion into a wider range of fragrances and apothecary offerings, enhancing its existing array of candles.

In a subtle reference to her son’s distinctive red hair, Meghan’s 506 candle is infused with ginger, neroli, and cashmere scents, aiming to deliver a cozy and familiar ambiance to any space. On the other hand, the candle inspired by her daughter Lilibet features notes of amber, water lily, and santal, offering a light and floral aroma to brighten and open up any home. Both candles will be priced at £47 each.

Ahead of the release, Meghan discussed As Ever’s evolution with Town & Country magazine, emphasizing the brand’s journey from producing signature jams to becoming a comprehensive destination for homeware essentials. She expressed her aspiration for As Ever to bring beauty and comfort to people’s lives, whether as hosts, guests, friends, or mothers.

The candles’ descriptions highlight Meghan’s personal touch, with the scents and names drawing inspiration from her children, referred to by their full royal titles: “Prince Archie of Sussex” and “Princess Lilibet of Sussex.” In 2024, it was disclosed that Prince Harry and Meghan adopted the Sussex surname for their children, aligning their family identity and identifying the kids as Archie Sussex and Lilibet Sussex.

While Meghan’s supporters online warmly received news of the Mother’s Day collection, critics raised concerns about her use of her children’s complete royal titles, especially considering the couple’s departure from official royal duties six years ago. Some questioned Meghan’s decision to prominently feature her children’s names and titles, given her past efforts to shield them from the public eye and social media exposure.

In a previous collection, Meghan paid tribute to another significant milestone in her life – her wedding day. As part of the Christmas lineup last year, a candle inspired by Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding day was introduced, named 519 to commemorate their nuptials on May 19, featuring fragrances of Moroccan mint and white tea.

The rewritten article provides a fresh perspective on Meghan Markle’s new products, emphasizing her brand’s evolution and the inspiration behind the candles. The content is optimized for readability and SEO purposes.
