Zoflora vs. Pink Stuff: Battle of the Bathroom Sink Cleaners

In reality, very few people find pleasure in cleaning the bathroom, but it remains an unavoidable task. While being an essential household chore, cleaning the bathroom can feel monotonous.

Even in a two-person household, the bathroom can quickly become chaotic. The area around the sink, in particular, requires daily wiping due to constant use, accumulating toothpaste smudges, stray eyelashes, soap residue, and various other dirt.

When it comes to cleaning the sink, the goal is to have a cleaning product that not only effectively removes stains but also has a pleasant scent as a small reward for the hard work. The product should cut through tough grime and leave a shiny, clean surface.

Recently, I decided to compare two affordable multipurpose cleaners to see which one performed better on the bathroom sink.

Among the cleaners tested were Zoflora and the Pink Stuff spray, both known for their budget-friendly prices. Zoflora cost around £2.70 at Home Bargains, while the Pink Stuff was an even better deal at approximately 99p. Both products claim to handle various cleaning tasks effectively.

After trying both cleaners, one clearly stood out. Here’s my experience:

Starting with the Pink Stuff spray, which I initially used to clean my kitchen sink earlier this year and found to be my preferred choice. My expectations were high for its performance on the bathroom sink as well.

The Pink Stuff spray promises to be tough on grease and grime, delivering shiny, clean results. When used on the draining board, it lived up to its claims, leaving a fantastic smell and impressive cleanliness.

Application is simple – spray on the sink, taps (and the often-forgotten areas behind them), and wipe with a cloth. Stubborn marks and stains were easily removed with minimal effort, leaving a sparkling result.

However, the only downside was that the pleasant scent of the Pink Stuff spray dissipated fairly quickly after use.

A few days later, I turned to Zoflora to tackle the dirty sink. This product gained popularity during the pandemic, endorsed by Mrs Hinch for its versatility and effectiveness.

Similar to the Pink Stuff, I sprayed Zoflora on the sink and let it sit briefly before wiping. It also left a shiny finish without requiring intense scrubbing, but in my opinion, Zoflora emerged as the superior choice.

What sets Zoflora apart is its luxurious scent, reminiscent of high-end perfumes rather than typical disinfectants. The fragrance lingers for hours after use, leaving a fresh, pleasant smell in the bathroom.

Moreover, being a disinfectant, Zoflora boasts a 99.9% efficacy in killing bacteria and viruses. Priced around £2.70 at Home Bargains or £2.79 at The Range, this product offers both quality cleaning and a long-lasting fragrance.
