Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a warning to the Kremlin regarding potential attacks on its Victory Day Parade in retaliation for harsh Russian assaults on Ukrainian citizens.

This warning comes as four individuals were reported dead in Moscow’s recent attacks, and rumors suggest that Russian President Vladimir Putin is increasingly isolating himself, seeking refuge in underground shelters. Sources indicate that Putin has been residing in these shelters for weeks amid speculations of a possible palace coup, with theories linking his old friend and former defense minister Sergei Shoigu to an alleged attempt to overthrow Putin. Concurrently, four casualties were reported in attacks on Ukraine’s Kharkiv.

Zelensky highlighted that the upcoming May 9 Kremlin parade, a significant event in the Moscow military calendar, will lack the usual display of military equipment. He emphasized that this absence signifies a significant shift, indicating Russia’s diminished strength compared to previous years, further hinting at potential drone strikes on the parade.

Recent reports from an unnamed Western intelligence agency reveal concerns within the Kremlin about information leaks and potential coup attempts against Putin, particularly fearing drone-assisted assassination attempts. Security measures around Putin have been notably heightened, with restrictions on his movements and increased security screenings for visitors to the Presidential Administration.

Putin, residing with his partner Alina Kabaeva and their children, has reportedly sought refuge in renovated bunkers, particularly in the Krasnodar region, due to ongoing conflicts with Ukrainian forces. This region, known for frequent drone attacks, houses Putin’s extravagant Gelendzhik palace, featuring extensive underground facilities. Analysts suggest that internal power struggles within Russia could escalate given the current geopolitical tensions.

The most recent Russian strike in Kharkiv resulted in four fatalities and multiple injuries, with Ukraine’s air force intercepting a significant number of drones launched by Russia. The ongoing conflict and economic challenges have intensified the power struggle within Russian political circles, potentially leading to a showdown for control as Putin’s authority wanes.
