Former X Factor contestant turned influencer, Gabrielle Carrington, has been brought before court on charges of allegedly trying to murder another content creator after a dispute outside a nightclub. The incident occurred outside Inca show restaurant and bar in London’s Soho early Sunday morning, resulting in a collision involving Carrington’s car and three pedestrians, including Klaudia Zakrzewska, who is known as ‘Klaudiaglam’ on Instagram.

Carrington, 29, was remanded in custody after facing charges of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink driving following the incident. The court revealed that Zakrzewska, in her 30s, is currently in critical condition in the hospital, while Anoush Chyche, a security worker in his 50s, sustained severe injuries, and Latisha Armstrong, in her 30s, was treated for minor wrist injuries.

The charges against Carrington are specifically related to the alleged attack on Zakrzewska, the injuries inflicted on Chyche, and the harm caused to Armstrong. During her court appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court, Carrington, dressed in a grey leisure suit, was accompanied by a female security guard and only spoke to provide her personal details. She did not enter any pleas.

The prosecutor informed the court about an existing dispute between the parties involved and described the chaotic scene that unfolded outside the nightclub. CCTV footage showed Carrington arriving in her car and engaging in altercations with individuals before driving onto the sidewalk, hitting Zakrzewska and Chyche, and causing harm to Armstrong. Carrington was found to be over the legal alcohol limit at the time of her arrest.

Given the severity of the charges and concerns about potential flight risks and interference with the legal process, Carrington was remanded in custody by District Judge Nina Tempia. She made a gesture to her family and friends in the gallery before being scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey for a plea hearing in May.

Carrington, hailing from Manchester, gained fame as a teenager on The X Factor in 2013 and has since amassed a substantial following on Instagram under the username “rielleuk.” The Metropolitan Police urges witnesses to come forward with any relevant information about the incident, emphasizing the importance of their testimony in the ongoing investigation. The police also discourage the sharing of graphic footage related to the collision to preserve the integrity of the legal proceedings.
