Wendy Iles, a woman reported missing in Wiltshire, has been located, according to her daughter Louise. The search efforts led to the discovery of Wendy, aged 68, and her campervan, which had apparently experienced a tire blowout.

However, Wendy’s springer spaniel named Beau is still missing. Louise mentioned that the family is actively searching for the dog in Spain.

Concerned relatives raised the alarm after Wendy disappeared and was last heard from in the Alfafar area near Valencia around 9 pm on a Sunday. Louise indicated that during their last conversation, Wendy seemed confused, and her campervan had been stolen.

Wendy was traveling from a residential area called Cumbre del Sol and was en route to Caen, France, to catch a ferry back to the UK. The alarm was raised when Wendy failed to make her ferry connection.

Louise contacted authorities in Europe and the UK when Wendy’s campervan and passports seemed to be missing after she missed important travel connections and her phone was switched off.

She did not make the crossing on May 23.

Responding to inquiries on an expat forum about the suspected vehicle theft, Louise explained that Wendy had reported the vehicle as stolen during their last conversation when she was without it.

Louise expressed frustration with the challenges of tracing her mother’s movements, mentioning that British police require Wendy to be classified as high risk before tracking her bank transactions, and Spanish police wait 48 hours before conducting a search.

Wendy appeared confused in her last contact with Louise and did not arrive at a recommended hotel as they worked on resolving issues related to the camper van.
