The latest list of the most expensive streets in the UK has been released by property platform Rightmove, with only one street outside of London making the cut.
Securing the top spot once again is Winnington Road in Barnet, London, with an average asking price of £12,538,095. Following closely behind is Chester Square in Westminster, London, at £11,546,428, and The Bishops Avenue in Barnet, London, with a price tag of £8,930,650.
The priciest street outside of London is East Road in Elmbridge, Surrey, standing out as the sole non-London entry in the top 20, with an average price of £8,795,714. In Scotland, Drumsheugh Gardens in Edinburgh tops the list at £560,000, while Hollybush Road in Cardiff leads in Wales at £1,237,500.
The rankings are based on data from Rightmove, considering streets where at least five homes were available for sale in January of this year.
Colleen Babcock, a property expert at Rightmove, highlighted the allure of Britain’s most exclusive streets, noting the dominance of London addresses in this year’s top 20. She mentioned the return of Winnington Road as the most expensive street and emphasized the capital’s stronghold on high-end property. Babcock also pointed out Elmbridge in Surrey as a standout location outside of London, showcasing the diversity of prestigious addresses across the country.
