Defence Secretary Wes Streeting expressed support for Burnham’s leadership and commitment to tackling the social care crisis, highlighting the personal importance of the issue to Burnham. Additionally, Burnham proposed imposing stricter conditions on benefit claimants, particularly targeting young individuals, to ensure that support is contingent on seizing available opportunities.
