A woman’s body was discovered inside a washing machine following a tip to search a nearby pond, leading to an ongoing quest for justice by her family eight years later.
At 25, Trish Haynes cut off contact with her grandmother after moving in with two friends, prompting her worried grandmother to report her missing to Grafton Police in New Hampshire. Authorities were anonymously directed to Grant’s Pond where Haynes’ remains were found in a submerged washer and dryer, resulting in a homicide ruling. Despite a year-long investigation, no arrests have been made in the unsolved case.
Haynes’ cousin Carey-Ann Wilson, 51, disclosed that the family is collecting funds for a reward to aid in solving the case. Expressing shock and sadness over the tragedy, Carey-Ann emphasized the family’s determination to seek justice.
After relocating in 2018, Haynes’ sudden change in communication with her family raised concerns. She distanced herself from her grandmother and relatives, leading to suspicions among her loved ones. The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office made a public statement on Haynes’ death in 2019, but no breakthroughs or arrests have been made, leaving the family frustrated and determined to keep pushing for closure and answers.
