A delivery company based in the UK has gone into administration. Eagle One Delivery Limited, located at Appleton Thorn Trading Estate in Warrington, specializing in global freight transport, has officially entered administration after six years in operation.

Initially established in 2020, the company focused on international transport, freight forwarding, shipping, warehousing, and storage services. Situl Devji Raithatha of Springfields Advisory LLP was appointed as the administrator on April 16. The impact on jobs due to the administration is currently unclear.

This development follows a recent increase in UK businesses entering administration or liquidation. According to The Gazette, 65 businesses have filed notices this month alone. The Gazette serves as the official public record for legal and government notices in the UK.

In a separate case, Loughton Tyres, a car tire garage based in Essex, appointed liquidators earlier this month. The business, established in December 1987, had a strong reputation in the local community with numerous five-star reviews on Google.

The decision to wind up Loughton Tyres was finalized on April 2, with liquidators appointed on the same day. The London Gazette published the notice on April 15, naming Ninos Koumettou and Constantinos Pedhiou as joint liquidators.

Gold Crest Holidays, a coach tour operator based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, ceased operations after over 30 years. The family-owned company organized trips across the UK and Europe, including to Disneyland Paris and major sporting events, citing financial pressures as the reason for closure.

Operating under various names like Advent and Advent Tours, Gold Crest Holidays announced that all future departures would be canceled, with ABTA managing refunds. The company attributed its closure to the severe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, changes in key business arrangements, and a challenging trading environment due to rising costs.

In January, Gold Crest Holidays stopped trading and expressed gratitude to customers, travel agents, suppliers, and staff for their loyalty over the years.
