Former U.S. President Donald Trump has dismissed Prince Harry’s recent remarks on the Ukraine conflict, stating that Harry does not speak for the United Kingdom. Trump emphasized that he believes he represents the UK more effectively than the Duke of Sussex. This response came after Harry called for increased efforts to end the war in Ukraine during a surprise visit to the country.
While in Kyiv, Prince Harry delivered a message directed at both President Trump and Russian President Putin. He expressed concerns over the ongoing conflict, highlighting the devastating consequences and emphasizing the need for a resolution that does not result in further loss of life.
Although not mentioning Trump by name, Harry conveyed a message to American leadership, urging the U.S. to fulfill its international treaty obligations to support Ukraine’s sovereignty. He stressed the importance of American leadership in global security and strategic stability, particularly in light of Ukraine’s past agreements with the U.S.
Prince Harry’s visit to Ukraine marked his third trip to the country since the full-scale invasion by Russia in February 2022. Upon his arrival in Kyiv by train, he reiterated his support for Ukraine and commended those involved in the ongoing efforts to address the challenging circumstances faced by the country.
During his visit, Harry met with key figures in Ukraine, including Ramina Arseniy Yatsenyuk, to discuss the situation and show solidarity with the Ukrainian people. He expressed his commitment to raising awareness about Ukraine’s struggles and praised the resilience of those working tirelessly in difficult conditions.
